When I heard about the new Build Your Own Slot feature on Slots.LV I couldn’t wait to try it out.

How Did I Build my Dream Slot Machine
1. Finding My Theme
I started by choosing the adventure and exploration theme. As a kid, I was always the one out in the woods, climbing trees, drawing treasure maps, and pretending I was on a quest to find where X marked the spot.
I’d imagine stumbling across a chest full of gold and jewels buried deep beneath the dirt — and, of course, I’d be rich beyond belief. That sense of excitement and discovery has never really left me.
Maybe that’s why slot games appeal to me — every spin feels like digging a little deeper, not knowing if the next one will uncover treasure.
So naturally, my slot had to be about buried treasure. I decided to call it “Buried Riches.” The name felt perfect as it captured both the childlike wonder of adventure and the grown-up thrill of chasing big wins.
2. Designing the Gameplay
Once I had my theme, I moved on to the gameplay choices. I went with medium volatility, because for me, balance is key. I like the idea of a game where you can hit both small wins and the occasional big jackpot.
There’s nothing worse than spinning five or six times in a row and getting nothing back — that can kill the excitement pretty fast. Medium volatility keeps the energy up and the game feeling rewarding, even between big hits.
Next, I selected the 5×3 reel setup, which just felt natural. It’s the format I’m most familiar with — clean, simple, and easy to follow as the symbols drop. It keeps the focus on the theme and the anticipation of those winning lines.
For the stake range, I went with a mid-range bet, because that’s usually where I like to play — between $5 and $25 a spin. It’s a sweet spot that keeps things exciting without feeling reckless. There’s enough potential for those big wins, but it’s still manageable enough to enjoy longer sessions.
And of course, I couldn’t resist adding wilds. There’s nothing quite like seeing a screen full of wild symbols line up — that rush as the reels stop and the winnings stack up never gets old.
